Maybe I can ask something else for those of you in the know regarding Etihad
1) I've read online they have surcharges, but the bloggers seem to say they're pretty reasonable? Any idea on them? I'd be looking at J/Y, not F if that makes any difference.
2) Can you pair Etihad with other airlines? Example: I live in YVR, EY flies nowhere near here. But can I fly say...YVR-LAX (on AC/UA) then LAX-AUH (on EY) on the same ticket for the same 80,000 miles return in Economy?
3) Lastly, is Expertflyer a reliable source for EY availability? I was looking at it yesterday and while I'm really far out for my booking it seemed like there was a pretty high amount of availability.
Thanks again folks

It is the same with Korean Air: family only. British Airways used to limit to 5 people who shared your address, now you can book for a few more people (5 or 6) if you put them into your list of friends, but you are still limited. With Aegean, you can pool miles into one account if you have status. Different cultures, different rules.

Well no, because it's a question that pertains to the Asiana Mileage Club program. Etihad rules wouldn't necessarily be the same. For example AS mileageplan you can only fly 1 partner. So you can fly AS then EK, but you can't fly LA then EK. So I was looking for Asiana's rules on the matter.

Which engine are you referring to? I've used the star alliance one and had some interesting routings, and I haven't really tried the Asiana engine that much cuz I don't really wanna pay their higher rates, but also cuz I don't live at an OZ station. I haven't had Etihad come up in any of my searches, including ones I tried starting from AUH.

Hello everyone,
I have a flight from Istanbul(IST) to Zagreb(ZAG) on January 28th. I will be flying with Turkish Airlines(TK) Economy(Y) in U fare class(International Flight). Does anyone know how many miles does TK Y/U give for Asiana Club?
Thanks

Does anyone know this: If I credit flights for the whole family to their individual Asiana Club accounts, can I pool the accounts later (after we all earned miles)? I have a flight with family coming up soon and I don't have the time to do all the required paperwork for the family account before departure.

I am once again baffled by my account status.
As far as I knew my evaluation period expired May 31, 2022. After some kind of covid extension. It said I needed 30,000 miles to retain my status. So I made sure I did that.
Now it says my evaluation period is 2019-06-01:2023-05-31. So it got extended a year, as did my Diamond status in the app. So my first thought was, oh...bummer, I only requalified for a year, I was hoping it would be 2. First question, is that how it works? I thought qualification would extend me for 2 years.
But now what's got my even more confused is the text at the bottom of the page. "You will be maintained the Diamondtier for the next evaluation period by earning an additional 0 tier miles, or by flying on Asiana Airlines 30 more time(s)."
So does this mean, that my evaluation period got extended by a year, but that I've ALREADY prequalified for 2 more years, with NO MORE ACTIVITY?

I want to book ICN-KIX 9/8, what is the difference between Super Light, Flexi_S, and Basic?
I want to book HND-GMP 9/12, what is the difference between Smart, Classic, and Basic?
Anyone have experience booking via the CapitalOne Travel portal? It's the same price but they give me some cash back and price drop protection..
If I book direct via Asiana, I can add my UA FF# and seem to be able to choose a seat for free.
If I book via CapitalOne, I'm not sure.

Just wondering, is there a list anywhere of partners that don't apply fuel surcharges when booking via Asiana miles? I had one for AC back in the day, but they've scrapped it with their new program. I just looked at a couple potential redemptions and both had over $600CAD in fuel surcharges, I feel like there's gotta be a bit of a way around that.
