I never liked Jeju. Very kitschy and the "attractions" aren't all that overwhelming. Here are some threads that might help:

Im considering a day trip from Seoul to Jeju and found a competitive fare from Gimpo airport in the morning returning in the evening. Is this worth doing? The ticket is USD $150 and Im assuming there are airport shuttle buses that go to the airport from the city as well. This would be next week though so Im not sure how the Thanksgiving holiday would affect my travels. Any thoughts?

In my opinion, the nicest thing about Jejudo is the free stuff. Do Hallasan at dusk. Walk along the coast. Smile at the honeymooning couples.

I can't help thinking it'd be an anticlimax to go for just a day trip, especially from Seoul.

I'm confused. How would an American holiday affect travel in Korea?

Yeah, why would it?

I personally have never been but can share comments from Japanese and Korean friends.

It is a favorite honeymoon destination for Koreans, and a favorite golfing destination by both J/K male/females. Some nice courses, including 9 Bridges (site of LPGA event).

It can be quite windy and chilly during the time of your planned visit.

Im referring to Chusok, the Korean Thanksgiving holiday.

I do find Jeju worthwhile but it would certainly be better to stay a night. Great Korean sashimi and pleasant natural surroundings & some interesting touristy stuff such as the caves.
