My recommendation is for Darith Touch, +855 12 793 908, [email protected]. He's great for low end and mid range and probably just fine for high end. My recommendation is based on 4 trips of my own and several referrals to others that worked out quite well.

I always get a moto with him, since I've been doing that for years, but he can easily arrange for a car or a tuk-tuk.

I didn't actually care about what king built which temple, turns out, or what year such and such was constructed. That's just me, I'd been through a lot of history and it just seemed like some incredibly hot and humid and boring history lecture, not what I was wanting.

Rabidstoat brings up some very valid points. Doing the Inca Trail and Macchu Picchu required a guide which I though turned out to be a great experience. Walking around MP with someone pointing out minute details was something I strived on and I thought it would be the same at Angkor, but it wasn't. It did get overwhelming.

I didn't find the A/C issues of going hot<->cold to be an issue, but there were a number of times when I just didn't care what Dara Ly was blabbing about.

A great Head's Up that a guide and driver may not be for you!^
