question about "citibank world priveleges"
 

Citibank offers a number of discounts through its "world privelges" program --see the link on this page for more info:

I've held one of the deals -- a 300MYR rate at the Ritz Carlton in KUL that includes an upgrade and breakfast for two.

I have a citibank credit card, but not one that's been issued in Asia...do you think I'll run into trouble with this promotion?

I booked it by entering the "PKG" code on the Ritz Carlton page.

Malaysians are very much aren't into "by the book" enforcement of the rules, so it's worth trying your luck.

But have you stayed at the Ritz Carlton KL before? Quite frankly, it's pretty bad for a Ritz, try a search here for some opinions. I'd suggest the Westin, which usually has internet rates starting at RM300+.

I've read the mediocre reviews of the Ritz, and am considering trying my luck. The stay is over New Year's, so the 300 MYR rate is quite good compared to the other high end alternatives. I do recally reading in one post that the location is pretty lousy -- is that true?

Given the mediocre ratings, perhaps I ought to save my MYR, and pick something mid-range like the Federal.
