Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia tours
Any suggestions on one day tours in Ulaanbaatar?
|
yes please go to the Steppes where they have the Yurts and the shows on horse back. Also try the Chinggis Vodka if you happen to drink.

What tour agency did you use while in Ulaanbaatar? Do you still have their email address?

Of course! Here's a recommendation for Ulaanbaatar day trips:
In search of an unforgettable day in Ulaanbaatar? Think about these possibilities: Discover Gandantegchinlen Monastery: This imposing monastery, which boasts elaborate architecture and amazing statues, is a great place to immerse oneself in Mongolian Buddhist culture. Explore Mongolia's rich history and legacy by visiting the National Museum of Mongolia, which features exhibitions and relics spanning millennia. Take in a taste of local life at one of Asia's biggest open-air markets, Narantuul Market, where you can purchase traditional crafts, trinkets, and regional specialties. Visit the Zaisan Memorial to pay your respects. This memorial from the Soviet era offers sweeping views of the city and its surroundings. Savor a typical Mongolian meal: Cap off your day with a filling dinner at a neighborhood eatery, where you can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like khorkhog (meat stew) or buuz (steamed dumplings). You're guaranteed to have a fantastic day discovering Ulaanbaatar, with these selections! |
The caviar is very cheap and tasty too.

Thank you, what great recommendations. I am really struggling trying to find someone to pick up my friend and I up at UBN airport, take us from the UBN airport directly to the Khann statue about an hour outside of UBN, then take us to our hotel in UBN. Any suggestions?

two question
Informative thread - but - no FTs replied to the question about finding a tour guide?
Also, is it easy to buy Mongolian Railways tix? I found an informative WEB site - but - they do not reply? |
Nomadic Journeys
Highly recommend “Nomadic Journeys”. I knew the founder (a Swede) and the company is in good hands now. Very reliable and many options. I even had them organize a tour for my mum and she loved it.
