LPQ (Laos Luang Prabang) Visa on arrival OR get visa online before hand?
Contemplating on flying to LPQ from BKK on a Thursday afternoon arriving around 16:30 (4.30pm) and there is nothing I/we hate more than queuing so like to be as much prepared as I/we humanly possibly can be to save on agony time...
Both pax holds EU passport's and have checked that we can get visa on arrival but also that there is an opportunity to get a pre arrival visa.
Which should we go for?

The VOA procedure at LPQ is very straight-forward. It's a small airport and I believe most (if not all) flights are on small aircraft. So any queuing would be relatively short. I think it took about 10 minutes last time I was there a couple of years ago. I believe I even still had to wait for my luggage to arrive afterwards.

Experience from three days ago.
I paid for quite expensive eVisa (USD $46-56 per person depending on passport of the country) for the purpose of not waiting and going directly to the counter.
Big mistake.
We’ve been pointed to counter #4 with big sign ‘eVisa’. But the problem was - nobody was there.
Actually the only other manned counter was doing VoAs and only after he was done with them, he came to our line. We have been standing in like for more than 20 min by that time.
So you have the answer.

Couple of thoughts after three days in Luang Prabang
