Asian Countries W. Full Page Visas

As of the last time I went, Vietnam issues full page visas regardless of how you apply (embassy, airport, etc.) but are there any others that do, as well? I think Cambodia's eVisa just gets stapled.

From my experience, and updated what others said below in italics:

No Stamp:
S. Korea
HK

Quarter Page (Inbound only):
Singapore
Japan (recent reports)
Taiwan (assuming E-Gate for departure)

1/2 Page (Inbound + Outbound):
Thailand
Japan (as of last year)
China (TWOV, regular visa requires full page)
Malaysia
Philippines
Myanmar
Sri Lanka

Full Page:
Vietnam
Laos
Nepal (or 3/4 of a page)

Not sure:
Indonesia
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Mongolia

Lao is a full page sticker like Vietnam

nancypants Dec 27, 2019 7:13 pm

Nepal is about a half page
mongolia is still a full page I believe but I haven’t renewed a visa for there since 2006

The Vietnam multi entry, one year visa I got January, 2019 was two page, loose leaf. Immigration applies stamps to the blank back.

Myanmar is a full page if you do Visa issued from embassy or Visa on arrival.
If you do the online Evisa, then it's just a stamp

Malaysia, small stamp only for most Visa exempt entries

Taiwan: two small stamps (in/out) for Visa exempt.
Japan: postage stamp (in, "landing permission") and small stamp outbound - basically needs half a page.

The visa itself (e.g. 10 year for visitors) take up an entire page permanently.

Each entry and exit are stamped. I have had at least 10 full entry/exit stamps on one page.

I did evisa for Vietnam early this year and it was just loose leaf. I don't know if the embassy issued visa is still the full pager though.

More countries seem to be doing away with them. I was disappointed by lack of stamps when I was in S. Korea and Taiwan last month.

Japan is not a topic for this forum, but note that Japan no longer requires outbound stamp, so only the inbound sticker is required. The outbound stamp is optional for those who need it.

Philippines is two 1/4 stamps (in/out) for visa-free countries.

Thanks all. Updated my post with info gleaned here, including Japan. Curious if anyone has left Japan from CTS or another airport that isnt HND, NRT, KIX and NGO without the stamp, as those 4 have the more advanced technology.

Nepal is definitely not a full page. It would be half a page if they stuck it neatly but the bloke who did my last one didn’t. Although there’s still space around it for a bunch of stamps

Uzbekistan and Russia are both full-page. India is full page when the visa is issued at an embassy, for e-visa it's just a stamp.

re: Taiwan, just out of curiosity, was this because they had you go through the e-Gates?

There were some reports on the BR forum about foreign passport holders being sent through e-Gate on exit (even those not signed up for a e-Gate reciprocity program), but nothing about entry.
