Kuala Lumpur Touch n Go

Ive been in KL for close to three weeks now. I bought the card after about a week paying cash each time I take transit. This saved me a bit of time. I think I may have put too much money on the card. I still have about MYR380 on my card. Ive been told that the card becomes inactive after a year with no activity. Apparently the card cannot be reactivated, but if I have a Malaysian bank account, then the funds can be deposited there. The problem is that I dont live and reside here. Im not sure if that is even a viable option for me. Ill be leaving in about a week. Not as many restaurants or convenience stores take it. Im not sure what this e-wallet thing is. Anyone here know of any other way to drain the card or places to spend?

On website is the list of retail outlets accepting Touch'n Go - https://www.touchngo.com.my/CMS/Pers...Usage/Transit/ However, not clear how up to the date the list is. But if Tesco accepts the card as a payment method, that's would be your way to go and spend it there. Also if you plan to take KLIA Express back to the airport, you can use it for payment as well.

If you know any locals you can offer to give them the card with exchange of cash, plus some discount, like RM20.

If you're otherwise in the mall next to KL Sentral, you might see if you can get a refund at the Touch N Go Hub

I was there and they said no. Do you know anything about the e-wallet? Apparently that's another avenue to drain the balance?
