Any Recent Experience WIth Pakistan Visa Process For USA Citizen?

Any US Citizen have recent experience using Pakistan's online visa system?

USA Citizen. I've applied for an individual tourist visa using Pakistan's online system and supplied the requested documents: Photo, Passport Page and a copy of my hotel booking. I got a reply asking for additional documents: 1. Invitation letter from Pakistan. 2. Pk ID or Passport copy of the Invitee. I thought the hotel booking covered the invitation letter and wouldn't I be the invitee?

I'm currently having the exact same experience -- I sent (1) photograph, (2) copy of passport, and (3) copy of hotel booking, and was asked to provide:

(1) notarized letter of invitation,
(2) copy of the NIC (national id card) of the invitee
(3) copy of bank statements
(4) job letter

I'm guessing I'm going to have to go to the consulate in NYC to sort this out, but it'd be super helpful if anyone had advice about this.

It doesn't appear that individual travel is possible without a host (and LOI) in Pakistan, despite what the website says. My visa was rejected on the grounds of individual travel, and we had to have a LOI written from family in Pakistan to get our visa approved.

My application hasn’t been rejected but I am being told the same thing.
