Private Guide Referral Request

Looking for referrals/suggestions on a high-end/luxury category private guide/driver for the following locations:

1. Kuala Lumpur - someone skilled at bringing clients to the city highlights, off-the-beaten path spots, and a day trip to Genting Highlands
2. Bangkok - a luxury perspective focused on temples, non-touristy spots, plus a partial day tour to the Maeklong Railway Market and a full day tour to the River Kwai area

The driver/guide should have experience with higher-end clientele (ie, Four Seasons Hotel guests, etc).

I'm assuming the same for both cities, but if you are staying at a higher end hotel, the concierge should be able to set you up with the right guide. That might sound obvious, but they can arrange everything including car. Speaking of car, you might find that seeing Bangkok by car is not the most efficient means of travel. I find the sky train and metro system far faster than travelling by car.

Oh, I’d guess he’s looking for a high class guide without the high class hotel pricing.

Actually to the contrary - I am looking for a high class guide regardless of pricing. I had this conversation with the concierge, and all he sent me was a car service price sheet and a list of canned tours that did not meet the requirements I outlined in my request, which was very annoying coming from a Four Seasons Hotel concierge.
