Taipei hotel suggestions + airport transport query
 

I have an upcoming stopover in Taipei and am looking for a hotel to stay at. I'm flying in to TSA from HND and out of TPE to HKG.

Last time I was in Taipei (2013), I stayed at the Vendome Hotel near the Zhongxiao Dunhua MTR station. Is that still a good option?

My departing flight from TPE is at 0700 (last time it was just after noon). What's the best transport (bus/train) to get to the airport in time?
For my last trip, I used the 5502 bus to travel to/from TPE, but that bus no longer appears on the TPE transport page.

Personally with a flight that early I would probably stay close to TPE

2 nights, mid week.

Are you suggesting to get the bus between TSA and TPE upon arrival, stay at a TPE airport hotel and use the MRT to get into Taipei during my visit?

I thought you were just going to be there overnight.

If I was just going to be there overnight, I'd just default to a TPE hotel and not be asking for suggestions. ;)
