VIP Arrival / Meet & Greet Service in Bali
Hi all,
Does anyone have any knowledge about meet and greet services at Denpassar airport to help get through the lines quicker.
I thought I read last year the Government had banned these services due to people being scammed but I had recently read a few reports about the service now being offered.
Thanks.

They still have them but they don't save any time so save your money. The only exception might be if you have a bunch of flights arriving at the same time and you have hand luggage only. They'll tend to take you through the diplomatic channel. Still unlikely to be worth it.

I find there is always a massive line in immigration so if I don't have to line up and stand for as long that's what I want. I'm not in to the VIP experience of the thing. Last trip we stood for 45 minutes in line and I just can't do that with a leg injury I have.

My experience is from some years ago, but it was well worth it. The lines looked like they were a ....., and we just sailed through with our escort, we picked up our luggage and were on our way to Ubud while other passengers on our flight were still waiting in line. It's not a fortune, think of it as a tourist tax.
(edit: jeez, I'm sick of FT treating us like a bunch of pearl-clutching old grandmas and censoring words that, for example, start with b and end with itch. That's how the lines looked.)

It's not a scam, it was a terrific service. We had to pay cash to the guy who met us, just make sure you have the exact change ready. It works better than most official express lanes around the world.
Don't do the wheelchair thing, if you do I'll make sure that I have an entire plane load of passengers lining up to boo you! Very un-Australian

I am pondering the wheelchair thing not to cheat the system but because I want arrival assistance as I can't stand up long with my dodgy leg so I really need the wheelchair. I even have a mobility parking permit now Badger.. for proof it's true!
P.S. The plane load of passengers won't be me because I'm business class so I'll be off like lightening (or as fast as I can hobble) and those in economy BEHIND me can't boo me!

We are going to be flying into DPS on business in the latter part of August and will be met by a drive that our hotel will send, but the idea of waiting in a long immigration line is not something I want to do! How does one arrange for someone to expedite immigration? Don't mind paying someone. We probably qualify for a wheel chair - spouse had a knee replacement a month ago, but he may be mobile enough by then. Any advice??

Bump:
We used a meet and greet service in 2019 - cannot remember how it was booked. Has anyone done this recently? Would like to skip the long wait at immigration and VOA.
