Question on KLIA2 security checkpoint
 

Hi all

I am arriving in KLIA with Oman Air & departing with Air Asia from KLIA2 12 hours later. I booked the Sama Sama Express KLIA2. Do I need to take the KLIA Ekpress between both terminals & clear immigration or is there another faster way?

Once I get to KLIA 2 is there a security checkpoint before the boarding gates or is the security screening done at the gate just like at KLIA?

There's no airside transit (yet) between KLIA T1 and T2, so yes, you will need to clear immigration and take the KLIA Express.

Security at T2 is the general screening type, unlike T1 which is at the gate.

Anyone can confirm whether this has changed/update for airside transfer between terminals?

There is no airside transfer between KLIA and KLIA2.
