Still no luck it seems. Anyone else able to get this working?

I've done a fair number of online visa applications ... and this website is infuriating.

Getting the "500 Internal Server" error (in Chrome) after submitting my eVOA application and trying to click through to the payment step. I'm sure I've now spent more time wrestling with this website than I will save from a shorter line at immigration.

Doing a Happy Dance! Success with the eVOA today after more than a week of frustration. Will now have to wait a few days before I can do the custom form online.

I'm giving up on this site. Anyone know what forms of payment are accepted in person?

Did you scroll up the thread, was a report from March 2023 not recent enough?

Crazy for doing CKG-SIN-DPS?

Hello,
I am a Canadian passport holder (so I will need an Indonesian visa). I had thought of the following but after reading this thread, I am having second thoughts.

I have a confirmed flight arriving into CGK on Feb 1 around 2300. I want to travel to DPS on Feb 3 around 1500 and was going to book a one stop itin with Singapore (CGK-SIN-DPS) to enjoy SQ hospitality and earn points in *A. But I think I will need to get two eVOAs, one to use at CGK and the other to use at DPS. Will Indonesian immigration question me on this crazy itin? Immigration and customs waiting time at DPS seems to be length as well.

Am I crazy for doing this? Should I just get a simple itin with Garuda and avoid the need for a second VOA and potential lines at DPS immigration?

Thanks,

The itinerary doesn't compute as sensible on any level, unless SQ is offering exceedingly attractive fares. If you proceed with your plan, the blessing is that the Indonesian authorities won't give a tinker's: though I'd suggest you might take advantage of a day or so in Singapore rather than spending a coupe of hours in the airport.

Surely it would make more sense to structure an itinerary which flies you into Singapore as the regional gateway before continuing to Bali.

I spent more than 1 hour and finally got through after paying $32. I got the E-visa only found the birthday is today.

A little upset and any chance I can pass with wrong BD?

But this is flyertalk where proposed travel itineraries do not necessarily make logical sense. Suboptimal it might be but the OP did infer that it was for some mileage purpose!

The answer to that is in the lap of the Gods... or, rather, in the hands the immigration officer handling your arrival.

I'd chance it: I guess the very worst that could happen is you get sent to the visa lines to buy a new one

True enough! I happily flew DPS KUL CGK, but that was in the days MH was offering tickets at bonkers prices through online agencies.

As I said, the fare is crucial to making mileage sense of these things.

After handing 200K IDR (about $13) tip/bribe to the IO, I got the pass without going back to the VOA lines. I know I shouldn't do this, anyway.

I am American citizen so i would need VOA.. i grabbed award ticket from JFK to IST to CGK (prefer Singapore or Bangkok but its not available) .. anyways, my TK flight will arrive in CGK around 7:30. Should i apply online or in-person? I am thinking about catch SQ flight at 11:15.. so 3ish hour is sufficient for T3 immigration/custom/security (business class ticket)? Or should i get 14:00 one?

I just went through a 4 hour delay on Qatar long-haul flight. First time it's happened, but it happened. So I'm primed to advise you to take the longer connection time: or since you are paying for a visa anyway, why not stay a night or two in Jakarta: it's a major city with some well-priced, comfortable hotels, and a city not without interest. Arrive in SIN refreshed, rather than frazzled

Why not go for the e-visa? it's always going to lead to an airport processing time faster (though not always much faster) than the VoA. It will also cut out the faff required after a long journey.

So let me see if Ive got this right:

1- I can wait til I arrive, stand in visa on arrival line and pay about $35 USD cash for my visa. Take my chances with arrival times, etc. (Ill be arriving around 18:00).

2- I can do the visa online and pay $70 ($35+$35) but I have to submit more than 48 hours in advance to get the 24-48 hour turn around time.

The advantage of doing it online is to save some time and hassle before arrival. Basically costing $35 for that

Am I missing anything?
