12 days in Bali, need help with locations
 

I have flights booked for Bali Aug.4th-19th. This will be our first time there and I need some help in trying to figure out how much time to allocate to specific locations.

Right now I have the first 6 nights booked at the Conrad (Aug 6th-12th)

From there I want to spend some time in Ubud, Seminyak and now Im thinking sometime on Gili Trawangan.

I am planning on staying at the W in Seminyak. The other two locations I wanted to book Alam Jiwa but they are completely booked on those dates.....

How should I separate the final 6 nights? I assume I should end in Seminyak because of the distance to the airport.

How many nights are good for the Gili's?

I would appreciate any help/suggestions on how long to stay in these area's

If you are going to Gili Trawangan you would want at least 3 night there in my opinion. You'll spend half a day travelling back and forth, so if you stay for less time it will fell like a lot of travelling and not so much time for holidaying. That wont give that much time for Ubud and Seminyak, so maybe you should just pick one of them.

Another option is to go to Nusa Lembongan instead of the Gili Trawangan. It is just a 30 minutes boat ride from Benoa harbour to Nusa Lembongan. Lembongan is quiter than Gili Trawangan - no real nightlife there - but excellent for Scuba diving and snorkelling.

No matter which island you choose, I would go there right after you stay in The Conrad as you are close to the harbour and can cut down a bit on the transportation time.

Are there better options for a BB other than Marta's? Thats #1 on tripadvisor....


Does anyone have suggestions for Ubud places to stay also?

2 nights will be ok. I was just mentioning it because even though the boat ride should be less than two hours, you usually spend half a day on transport, packing and unpacking, so you could take that into consideration.

I heard several people talking positively about Ko-Ko-Mo (their restaurant is probably he best on the island) but I haven't stayed there myself. I haven't stayed at Marta's either, so I can't really tell.

We leave in a few weeks and I have all nights planned

Trip looks like this:

6 nights Conrad in Nusa Dua
2 nights in Ubud
3 Gili islands
1 night at W seminyak

Will be hiring a driver for 4 days while staying in Nusa Dua so I can explore the rest of the island.

Driver has suggested multiple iteneraries. Are there any suggestions for something we should def. do? I would like Volcano hike (the sunrise one looks great) temples (not sure which are the best) and white water rafting. This is if I can get her to do these things.....

I know should wants to ride elephants, thats the only thing she has mentioned besides spas...
