Seeking Boracay hotel recommendations

I will be in the Philippines in mid-April. I will be making a side trip to Boracay for a few days. I would like to get hotel recommendations subject to the following restrictions/conditions:
  • Price [including taxes, surcharges and fees of any kind] should be $100.00/nt. or less.
  • Hotel must be in Station 2 preferably near the D'mall.
  • Rooms and linen must be clean.
  • Must have decent water pressure.
  • Must be free of foul odors.
  • Must have airconditioning in the rooms.
  • Would be nice to have a clean swimming pool.

I do not care that much about a restaurant in the hotel; don't care about breakfast; don't care about being sucked-up to as long as the staff isn't outright rude; etc.

I'm also interested in suggestions..........

Similar conditions.

Jony's Beach Resort has all of that except a pool. Right in your price range and the reviews are pretty fantastic.

Read an epic Flyertalk trip report here and Tripadvisor reviews here.

Thanks for the reference. I had seen that thread before. Unfortunately, Jony's Beach Resort is more expensive than my target limit.

www.jonysboracay.com P8,500.00 ~USD$208
www.jonysresort.com

www.choose2stay.com P6,251.00 ~USD153

Agoda USD$149++

Also, the location is identified as:

Station 1 Balabag Boracay Island, Malay Aklan, Boracay, Philippines

I stayed here in about 4 years ago, it was simply superb, right on the beach and it still seems to have high ratings.

You didn't specify dates so I picked April 10th for one night and the rate on Agoda was $109. You must have more expensive dates....

Jony's is technically in station 1 (right on the border of station 2) but you also mentioned proximity to D'Mall. Jony's is just a few feet from D'Mall in a very central location (map).

Thanks for the update and input. I checked that rate for one night with check in on 13 April.

The location by D'Mall seems pretty good but I also noticed there is a push pin further down too. I don't know anything about Boracay as I have never been there. My traveling partner has never been there either but she wants to stay "in the thick of things" at Station 2. I read that being near D'Mall is good for shopping and that it is a pretty central location.

Station 3 beach is much quieter, there are still bars and restaurants, and its like a 5 min walk to D*Mall.

Ok, well Jony's is ruled out because of the rate on the night(s) you want. No big deal.... I'm sure there are other good options.

I've been to Boracay and you have heard correctly -- D'Mall is pretty much the center of the action. When you are actually there you will see that D'Mall is considered to be the middle of the entire beach (all stations) regardless of where the line on the map is. So you shouldn't rule out any particular hotel just because it's a little north of Station 2. I think proximity to D'Mall (in both directions) is a better indicator of how far you are from the action.

Last time I was in Boracay I stayed at the far north end (Leah's Beach Resort in Station 1) and it was cheap (around $25/night at the time) and a great location. I could walk to D'Mall in maybe 10 minutes, or to the far end of Station 3 in maybe 30 minutes. So regardless of where you stay, you are going to be close to the action.

Anyway, based on your criteria strictly applied, the only 2 hotels that I could find that meet all the requirements are La Carmela de Boracay and Erus Hotel & Restaurant Boracay. Both of them have "Station 2" addresses, but they are also much further from the action than Jony's. I've never stayed at either of those so I can't give a review.
