I feel you. It is a decent walk from the plane and a stroller would be handy but to get to some departure gates, you may have to use stairs and/or escalators and the stroller would just be another thing you need to carry.

Is your entire journey with PR? All of PR's international flights were transferred to T1 in June, where JL (along with their Sakura Lounge) are also based.

How would you rank PP lounges at MNL? It seems we have PAGSS/Marhaba/A-Lounge at T1 & T3

Depends on the time of the day and the T3 one is not bad as per the food and the ambience is concerned. the PAGS one.

Hi, I have a flight coming up soon on PAL from KUL to SYD with a 16 hour layover and I have plans to leave the airport. I understand that flights to Australia will require additional security checks on baggage. As the luggage is going to be checked through to SYD, that will mean that I should go to the transit counter at MNL and await the secondary security check.

Q: am I allowed to proceed to arrivals after the baggage check to leave the airport? If not, is there a way around this? TIA!

Hi all, does anyone know what the policy is regarding same day sel-transfers at MNL? I did it earlier this year, and I wasn't allowed past immigration due to my next flight being on the same day, even though I had a visa-exempt passport. This caused a lot of hassle as the staff then had to go get my bags and check in for me at the counter.

I did two similar connections at Cebu and had no issue passing immigration and checking in again myself, so just not sure if I just got a bad immigration officer or if there is an official policy on it?

How often are the inter-terminal buses full to the point where you're not allowed on? I'll be doing T1->T2 on PAL one day and T4->T3 separate bookings another day.

Also, I'll be flying Singapore out of T3. It seems required (or at least recommended) to have printed paper proof of travel for the exit immigration folks? Would a printed confirmation/eTicket be sufficient or do I have to wait for check in desk to open to get actual paper boarding pass?

Looking to do intl-intl transit in Terminal 3. Arriving on 5J and departing on SQ. Is there sterile international transit in Terminal 3? How long would you recommend for self transfer?

Never asked me for a paper boarding pass. Actually from the info I am getting they are trying to make it much easier for foreigners to get into the Philippines.

We will arrive in MNL terminal 3, 2 adults and a 9 month old. We are going to the Manila Marriott, but we have quite a significant amount of luggage (6 large cases, carry on bags, stroller, car seat), so the Runway Manila is not really an option. Does anyone know of a reliable airport pick up service that can pick us up and accommodate that much luggage? Price is not really an issue within reason, just want as painless an experience as possible.

does the hotel have a service? Hertz Philippines offers a pick up PHP1500 to Makati (but not sure about all that luggage)

It is November, so it is Balikbayan time.
Ask the hotel, as they usually have sources for drivers of passenger vans.

Yes, I concur. Arrange it through the hotel.

My wife speaks Tagalog and Visayan, so we just take a taxi over to the Manila Marriott Hotel or the Sheraton Manila Hotel when we have lots of luggage. But even she has been caught in some attempted rip-offs where they wouldn't initially disclose the price, forcing her to start over and waste our time.

So the extra cost of booking a ride through the property is the price of convenience and peace of mind. It is a quick trip from Terminal 3; even shorter going back.

maybe a coupon taxi is an answer as that is a fixed fee

God No. They are a scam and way too high priced.
