Bali for Celebration
 

I am going to Bali next month to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. Are there any bars/clubs lounges you recommend for us to celebrate at? We will be staying at the new W or possibly in Nusa Dua.

Kuta area which is about 25 min from Nusa Dua by taxi would be the best place. Lots of bars & clubs on one street. Do a quick search on FT and you'll come across a few threads or posts.

The W is far better than anything in Nusa Dua. Some fab bars/restaurants near it, too. Consider Sardine, Ku De Ta, Metis, Sarong, La Lucciola. All fabulous, in different ways (some more for food, others for partying until dawn).

Kuta is in general backpacker partying, cheap and rowdy, while Seminyak is much more upscale (obviously lots of variation in both places, but gives you some perspective).
