EZE for the first time: looking for a great cafe experience
Headed down to EZE on 4/21 to stay with friends in their grand Recoleta condo for 10 days. I have done the basic research on the city, but looking for FTer input for their recommendations on the really interesting cafes in the city, i.e., great interior spaces; human ambiance; coffees, etc...saddle up FTers. I am hoping to wander and poke into nearly every interesting neighborhood. Thanks.

Hi.... glad to read you are coming down to EZE. Here is a list of some cafes you may consider visiting:
La Biela - Recoleta Cafe Tortoni - Centro Cafe de los Angelitos - Balvanera El Viejo Almacen - San Telmo |
Gaucho Cafe de la Paix has not been around for a couple of years...it is now a Freddo...And by the way, a very nice Freddo is the one at the beginning of Calle Florida, off Plaza San Martin...second floor is very nice and comfortable. Also the rather newish Cafe Palacio Barolo, located in one of my favorite buildings in Buenos Aires...and Bar El Federal in San Telmo been there since 1864 (not in the orginal location) and a fantastic antique bar.
Forgot all about the Croque Madame Av Libertador 1902 (Museo de Arte Decorativo) great little interior space and a small garden seating area in the rear. Sam |
