If your room faces the street be sure to bring some earplugs - the inexpensive foam type work well. As seen from other commenters, noise is also possible on interior rooms so you might want to bring earplugs in any event. My room is on the 9th floor facing a busy street and even though it is high up it is still quite noisy.
