Eze-aep
We're arriving at EZE in the morning and connecting to AEP for our domestic flight to Iguazu in the afternoon. What is the best way to get to AEP for 4 adults? My understanding is Taxi will only allow 3 pax, are there any other options?

www.transargentina.com $50USD or just cab it. Not sure you can all fit in one cab with luggage.

The answer is Manuel Tienda Leon
http://www.tiendaleon.com/home/home.asp Their stand is immediately after you exit customs, on your left. |
Thank you coplatua1k and Panam Clipper for the suggestions. I'll check them out.
On the Manuel Tienda Leon website, it says 105 Pesos from EZE to AEP with Remis, is that the price for 2 adults? I assume we'll need a larger car or van for 4 adults, if so, would there be any extra charge? I would like to pre-book the transfer because we are connecting on the same day and wanted to make sure our transfer is secured in advance. Also, we'll be returning to AEP and will be staying in the Recoleta area for a few days What is the typical taxi/remis fare from Aeropargue to Recoleta? |
The price for a remise is a flat rate regardless of the number of passengers. And you are correct that four adults and your luggage will not fit in one car. You will need a van. The taxi fare will vary a bit depending on where in the Recoleta and time of day but should be $arg12 to $arg15. A remise will be more than the taxi.

The taxis that you get at AEP had the reputation for being the worst rip-off artists in the city. I don't know if this was fixed lately so beware. It's a very short ride to Recoleta. I suggest you get some advice from the driver who takes you from EZE to AEP or from the folks at the MTL desk. I don't know if you speak Spanish but the drivers are usually not fluent in English.

Thanks samftla and Panam Clipper for your valuable feedback. Unfortunately, none of us speak Spanish, maybe a few words from our high school days, but definitely not enough to converse. We'll check with MTL desk to make sure we don't get rip-off.

Suggest you do a search in this forum for tips on currency exchange. In short - change your dollars to pesos at the Banco de la Nacion immediately after exiting Customs on your right hand side. There are other booths outside in the public area but there is a significant difference in the rates/commissions. Once you are in the city you should find many places at competitive rates.
