Claridge Hotel in BA

We are thinking of staying at the Claridge Hotel for 5 days in April. Any reviews of this hotel would be greatly appreciated.

It's an old hotel; I only stayed ther once about 20 years ago. It had a good reputation and had been kept in good shape. The location is great for shopping and walking around, just a few meters off Florida street.

I was there in July

I was there in July and enjoyed my stay. The morning breakfast was excellent, and had tons of food options. The room was clean and bright. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The staff is very helpful, and all of the customer facing staff that I had contact with (bellman, doorman, concierge, front desk) spoke fluent English. The hotel is less than a block from Florida which is a nice plus as well!

Only downside is the room was small (I booked a room with 1 double bed), but no different that a similar room would be in NYC or another major city.

Hope this helps!

I would qualify this. While its true that there is a lot of convenient shopping around Florida, please beware of many tourist traps that are also in this area. One infamous store just a few yards away from the Claridge is known for overpricing and also misleading customers about the specs of its products. Comparison shop and look for prices....
