EZE Minimum Connection Time
I am planning to fly FLN-EZE-SCL with a connection time in EZE of 1h. All legs are with AR. Anyone knows whether pax need to reclaim luggage and check-in again in EZE taking into account my flights depart from Florianopolis, Brazil?
Tks, |
As far as I know, if you're staying with the same airline and passing through Ezeiza, you won't need to reclaim your baggage or pass through customs - the customs is literally the last stop on your way out the front door of the airport, just before the taxi stand, so it wouldn't make a lot of sense. You should be able to just follow signs for "Pasajeros Transitos", in-transit passengers, and stay within the international terminal, and go straight to your gate. If not, also, it would be pretty much impossible to make your connection, getting through Migraciones and Customs in under an hour at Ezeiza... not.

Dan's advice above is sound... besides, even if you have any delay issues you are covered since you are flying with the same airline. Did you purchase the entire trip on one ticket or is your EZE to Santiago leg on a separate reservation?
Unless you want to leave the secure area for some reason, there is no need for you to have to clear Immigration & Customs. |
SCL-EZE-EWR
Bumping this thread. Am thinking of the following routing:
LA 2428 SCL 1655 EZE 1855 UA 846 EZE 2010 EWR 0613+1 Will be on issued on two separate tickets so am cautious about the MCT in EZE. Does 1 hour 15 mins sound alright for an international connection at EZE? Thanks baclubflyer |

One more caveat - LAN is notorious for schedule changes and you may have a problem if you are booked well in advance, because both UA and LA might have schedule changes that make this unworkable, and neither will be in any position to help you.

If on the same ticket it wouldn't be a problem however no matter how reliable LAN are I certainly wouldn't risk it.
Will LAN check your luggage through to EWR? Separate tickets, different Alliance....I doubt it. |

They probably will - most every major airline has interline baggage agreements, having nothing to do with alliances.
