shopping at EZE

I'm going to Uruguay. Thought I would be spending a few days in BA but circumstances have now dictated that I will only be passing through the airport. Is there a store with decent leather goods at EZE. Thanks

I'd consider shopping in Uruguay. A lot of the goods there are from Argentina and would be cheaper than the prices at the airport stores.

as you exit customs to the right there is a leather store but as I recall it was very expensive. The duty-free shopping is mostly wine/alchohol/chocolates/make up and smoke with some clothes. I dont remember any special leather goods.
buy it in Uruguay.

Leather bought in EZE will be a rip-off... plus, the selection will also be sub par. EZE shopping is a last resort only option... I think the above advice to buy in Uruguay is an excellent one, plus leather goods there are also of very good quality.

What has been posted so far is spot on.
Couple of weeks ago the same item we bought in Chivilcoy was nearly three times the price in the airport. There duty free shopping is a rip off as well.

Indeed, its not only the leather that is more expensive at EZE. Silver goods, wines, and even the books are priced at a premium. The operators of the airport take a large chunk of the revenues of the stores so they pass this onto the customers.

Thanks to everyone for all of the replies. This forum is so good. I'm sorely disappointed that I can only be a transit passenger at EZE and can't enjoy BA. Oh well, next time around. Everything in life happens for a reason.
