BUE-ATL-TPA or BUE-MIA-TPA Help me decide !

The Delta (ATL stopover) and AA (MIA stopover) are about the same price, times, duration, ontime performance and I arrive in ATl and MIA at about 7am.. This in in mid Dec so weather should be less of a factor. I am not sure if customs is quicker at mia or atl but I have global entry and the stopovers are 3hrs. Anything else I should be looking at or any recommendations ? Thanks !

Are you enrolled in either of the frequent flyer programs...?

both but do not have enough miles for either. I am leaning toward the AA flight though as I travel with them more often.

MIA is my Hub and I can say I never had any issue using GE, well only once was down (6 years ago)but I was able to use the Passport app. In the other hand, bags on AA usually arrive from 10 to 40 minutes after landing, but I have to confess I usually drop my bags just before the cutoff time

For us alot will depend on which aircraft each is using, AAs 777s in the back are 3-4-3 and tight as anything (org it was 3-3-3) AAs 787s are 3-3-3 and we find the 787s a better plane

Dont know what DL uses

But we usually will look at which Carrier is using a plane that will give us the most comfort, assuming the fares are pretty much equal or close to be equal.

DL has been a 764 for a while. 2-3-2 in the back is about as good as you're going to get on anyone. I've never flown DL "behind the curtain" so I can't speak for that experience, but the ATL transit experience isn't bad (although TSA Precheck @ transit security isn't typically open when the EZE flight arrives).

it doesnt matter if its open when the flight gets in, since you would have to go thru Imm and Customs, the question would be if by the time a person has to go thru TSA to get to their flight will it be open

that said ATL is a nice way North of both MIA AND TPA so it would have to be a great deal better if it was us to fly out of our way, if we were heading to TPA

I speak of experience as of late June, and it was not open, and no lounges with showers were open, either. I can't recall exactly, but it was probably 30 to 45 minutes total from disembarking to post-customs bag re-drop with GE.

Thank you everyone, AA ended dropping the fare about 100 so it was an easy decision.
