eSim card that covers Argentina and Uruguay?
We're flying into BA (EZE) and flying out of AEP to Punta del Este the same day. A week later we come back to BA and will spend two more weeks in Argentina.
Is there a mobile phone carrier that will issue an eSim that will cover Argentina and roam to Uruguay or vice versa?

Can you get pre-paid eSims issued in Argentina...? I had the impression that eSims were only available for post paid cellular accounts.

I am pretty certain that Claro offers pre-paid eSIM cards. Their "tourist offer" is actually quite competitive at 3,500 ARS which includes 25 GB of data + free use of Whatsapp and social media. The only problem I see is that you need to buy it at a Claro store.
I don't think any of the three operators (Claro, Movistar, Personal) offer free roaming on pre-paid. They will likely give you coverage in Uruguay or Chile but it will be expensive.
