Now the time to travel to Argentina?

Aside from the politics, and I def do not want to get into that.
The question for world travelers,
Is now the time to place Argentina on the tourist agenda?
They even removed the visa for USA citizens.
So what is better and may get even better in the coming days, months?

What may hamper those plans, we already know ATM and access to cash is a problem. What else?

Thanks for your insights.

Yes.

I would add that Argentina has had a place in the Agenda for some time now. The ATM issues are minor as credit cards are still widely accepted in 90% of the places a tourist will visit.

I think the ATM discussion is overblown. As Alex mentioned, majority of places that one uses credit cards in other countries (hotels, restaurants, car service) also accept them in Argentina. Given the somewhat volatile currency situation, it's not a good idea to take massive amounts of currency out of the ATM (or exchange) at one time anyways. Maybe I don't travel/spend the same as others, but it's never been an issue to get cash from an ATM or simply exchange at a cambio in town.

Another way to ensure you can get AR$ and not gamble on the ATM is to use the Banco Nación at EZE. You may need to cue up for a few minutes, but it’s a good investment of your time to start your vacation on the right foot.

Can someone confirm if a SUBE card can be used for 2 or more persons traveling together on buses or subway?
Thanks

You need a SUBE per person, you can't charge multiple people on a single card.

Technically you cannot. In practice, I have never had a problem with using one card for two people on the bus. For the subte you just hand the card back to the other person.

Is taking money from ATM an issue in these days? Some friends of mine will land in EZE in two weeks and will travel a little bit around Argentina for three weeks. Most of the expenses are still paid (flights, accomodations and car) but of course they will need cash.
