The PH's own restaurant is likely to be good but expensive.

I always liked Azafran, which is a few blocks away, but I haven't been there in at least several years.

Personally I found the Park Hyatt's restaurant to be pretty unimpressive. And, yes, expensive.

There were a couple of good recommendations I didn't get to try last time I was there (late 2015), but I'll have to try to locate them...

Siete Cocinas is one of the better dinners I have had in Mendoza City.. Modern Food, well prepared with an atrtistic flair.. I was taken by a Winemaker, he really had to work us in as they were completely full and we did not have a reservation.

I only did a Wine Tasting with a Potential Bodega and its Winemaker here. Caveat : We brought our own Wine and had a Picada once finished. Nadia OF seemed like a place I will definitely be back to dine at.. Food looked wonderful:

Tim Atkin Master of Wine is currently in Mendoza, you can follow him on Twitter or other Social Media to see what he is up to. Seems like he enjoyed his dinner at Azafran the other night..

Another vote for Azafran - was in town over New Year's and really enjoyed the meal here and the sidewalk seating. That being said, there were a number of restaurants on the same street (Sarmiento) that appeared to be very popular with the local crowd.

Also, there are two fantastic gelato shops across from eachother on the corner of Sarmiento and Belgrano, ~5 minute walk from the Hyatt. Enjoy!
