Would prefer to do Delta but travel agent is advising American to give enough time. We're traveling business. Any advice appreciated.

Unless there's a strike or other labor issue, I would be surprised if it takes more than 90 minutes for immigration and customs. That, of course, assumes an on time arrival. I'll be on the DL flight later this month and can report, but you may have already needed to book. That said, I've waited from minutes to an hour at all times of the day and night.

I arrived at EZE 3 weeks ago, plane touched ground 8:49am and there were 4 other planes that arrived in the last 40 minutes (UX Madrid, UA HOU, AA MIA and DL ATL). I was expecting a big long line at Immigration... so I decided to deplane last and get some pic from the airplane cabin (my companion wanted a pic from the Captain seat). We finally deplane at 9:10 and took 5 min to the Immigration, then a 20 min wait time (long line but not bad at all), then collect our bags and we were out by 9:45am.

I arrived last week on (03 Sep) from DFW. Off the plane and through immigration very quickly. However, it took over one hour for the bags to show up, which was very disappointing.

Arrived (AA 997) about 10am this morning. About a half-hour line to get through non-Argentine immigration, The good news is that my bag was on the carousel by then, so no more waiting. The other good news, relatively speaking, is that at least two other flights landed a bit after us. We could watch the line grow and grow. Don't know how long they had to wait, but it was probably 45-60 minutes.

The closest I generally get to pushing through crowds as I barrel through them is on my "walk" to EZE immigration. (On the other hand, sometimes the lines are quite long because of lack of staffing, not lack of booths!).

We are traveling into/out of EZE in November on AA933 from Miami (6:50am) and departing AA996 to DFW (10:30pm). Trying to decide whether to get the expedited immigration service or just roll the dice. Being that it is American I expect neither flight to be on time, but those are the schedules at least.

On the way back northbound, we are transferring from AEP to EZE and we have a 5 hour buffer between our domestic arrival (BRC-AEP) and international departure EZE-DFW, in case that factors into the calculus at all.

We are in business on AA in case that matters in terms of getting preferential immigration line access. Thanks in advance for any recent intel.

No preference unless you can use the disabled line, either inbound or outbound. 6:50 am should be prior to the worst of the morning. And the new terminal setup (for departures) has alleviated the worst of the chokepoints. I'd be surprised if security + passport control took over an hour. You can also expect that if your airline knows you're there and boarding has started that airline agents will start calling out for passengers on your flight to drag you to the front of the lines. (I don't recall AA doing this, but that's not to say that I never heard AA doing this.)

For your return to the US, 5 hours should be plenty of time assuming BRC-AEP isn't delayed. And as mentioned, AA might pick you out of the (e)migration line, but not sure. Maybe if running late you can buy the VIP pass while making your way to EZE? Their website claims "guaranteed instant confirmation", but I've never used the service.

For the way in, you might wait 10 minutes, or 1 hour. Hard to say. Whether that's worth $500 per person for the VIP service is dependent on how much you value your $$ and time.

When the "grand prize" of getting through early is more time in the AC (my least favo(u)rite EZE lounge), you're really in no rush! (On the other hand, you don't want to miss a flight or even be nervous that you will.)

Thanks for the insight, we are spending an arm and a leg on the trip due to where we are staying in Patagonia, so might skip the fancy service add-ons since it seems it won't be a total gong show.

On Monday I arrived on a delayed AA flight arriving 12pm to EZE. I was from plane to through immigration in 20min, and I didn't check luggage. I made it from plane to AEP in 1.5hrs, plenty of time for my tight 4hr connection, though I don't recommend anyone basing travel on that.

Its not only a question about when your flight arrives but what other flights arrive simultaneously.

If you have 3 or 4 wide bodies at a similar time and are in row 44 , it's hard to calculate when you will pass migrations and customs.
