Reciprocity visa fee
I'll be flying into Montevideo in June due to an excellent fare from American Airlines. I'm thinking about taking one of the boat trips from Montevideo to Buenos Aires for a couple of days. I understand that if I fly into EZE or AEP I would have to pay the reciprocity visa fee in advance. It's not clear to me if I need to pay the fee if I come into the country via boat.
Does anyone have any current information on the visa fee when arriving by boat? |
The visa fee has been required at all ports of entry into the country as of January 7, 2013 except for cruise ships where it will be required as of July 1, 2013. Ferries into the country do not count as cruise ships, so yes, you would have to pay.

Please refer to the various other Reciprocity Fee threads.
Thank you. |
