Latest update from the sticks is there are none. ^

Was in the countryside this morning supervising the castration of the young calves and not one mosquito was in evidence. Bit of a wind blowing and with last night being cool I suspect that was the reason for their disappearance.

Now sitting in the garden cooking asado with a cold beer....mosquito free.

I can tell you live from Asuncion that they are going strong here.

Cooked asado and by sunset they came out to feast on the fresh city blood.

I hope they don't follow me back to Buenos Aires but it is not looking good for the summer.

I only went into ASU and Luque so no dengue for me. Might be a problem if you went more into the campo.

Had asado out in Rafael Calzada for mothers day and the mosquitos were hunting in packs, but nothing like ASU, before the rain washed them away.

I was out BBQ' some chicken for the suegra this afternoon and there were a few of the blighters about. Half way through the heavens opened and I had to finish the chicken off in the kitchen oven.

Certainly had a lot of rain lately.

After a relatively mosquito free summer the little blighters have been out in large numbers over the last couple of weeks.
Hopefully they're having their last fling before the colder weather appears.
