Airport Porn making machine coming to EZE
|
My immediate reaction was anger, but if they do what the article states then it seems like a reasonable addition to the screening process. They say they'll only use the scanner on people who they suspect of illegal activity, as opposed to the US where they're scanning everyone. Also note that they model they describe uses radiowaves, which have little chance of causing health problems, there's a competing firm that sells scanner which use X-rays, which might be dangerous.

I thought this was going to be an announcement from Canal 13, that they would be shooting episodes of :-:Showmatch:-: at EZE :p

They all say their machines are safe.... but look at it form this point if you wanted to sell your machine would you fess up to the fact that there might be a chance that long term effect could not be so good???
Probably not and bear in mind this technology has not even been around long enough for there to even be ANY sort of long term tests so I wouldn't believe any of them. I will avoid these maschines everywhere I can for now. |

Is this an initiative of Chile & Argentina airports or goverments? I have not heard anything in Peru yet. Or is it a pressure from US NTSB or TSA (maybe just for flights to USA, though it will difficult to separate passengers)?
