Aaah you see THAT explains it...... you obviously also consider an indicator as an optional extra, a red robot/ traffic light as a suggestion only and your hooter as an extention of a certain part of the male antomy.......... :D:D:D:D:D No wonder you find driving in BA no big deal.
By the way I grew up driving in Afrika with pot holes Mt Everst could be sunk in and fellow drivers who never saw a driving school from the inside driving vehicals that don't even diserve the name. Watch the documentary and the commentary leading up to the World Cup. You will see things like 8 seater Hi Ace buses with 30 or more passengers in there....in fact they recently stop a 20 seater and off loaded 110 passengers (don't ask me how) You can ask one of these drivers about thier breaks and he will show you a hole in the chassis where the break pedal should be and he will tell you without blushing that her stops with his foot. The door is "closed" with a piece of wire, rear view mirrors don't exsist amoungs a whole list of other unbelieveable, head shaking and plain cringing other examples.:rolleyes: No I think I will be paying a driver in BA - hey I am on vacation and he needs a job. |

Make 110% that you have your headlights on at all times. I found out the hard way and i had to bribe (coima) a cop at a safety checkpoint in the middle of the pampas. Also out in the pampas there are many washouts, or places where it goes from pavement to dirt and back to pavement without any warning. I dont drive in Argentina unless i have to. Ill hire a car with a driver first. Having a car enabled us to travel to many beautiful areas that would have been impracticable otherwise. |

My main gripes are the autopistas in Buenos Aires and the busy two lane roads outside of the capital where overtaking can be a nightmare....and I'm only speaking as a passenger. In town roads can be a nightmare as well where cyclists and motor cyclists seem to have a death wish. |
Hiddy.... next time you are in town, let me know and I will take you for a spin as a co-pilot in my modified Golf GTi..... lets see how your bowel retention systems are working.... :D
