Ever Been to Perth?

I hear it's quite hot during the summer down under...

Not a huge difference on the temperature reading most times than say Brisbane, or Sydney, but Perth has a far drier and less humid summer (therefore more "comfortable IMO) than those 2 cities.

A lonnnnng way from east coast. Think USA transcon type distance.

Well that depends on what you call hot?

After living in Texas for many years, I don't find Perth that hot. At least it's not humid. I enjoy the summers here. There are probably only a few days at 40C. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif

But the interior - "outback" I guess - gets rather hellish, doesn't it? Anything like Texas?
