So has anyone here actually FLOWN AN-II?

I've done my part and bookeed a r/t on AN SYD-BNE-SYD for late Dec.

Has anyone here actually booked and/or flown AN-II??? I see a lot of talk, but I don't see anyone who has actually done anything active to support the airline(ie: bought a ticket).

Hey that's great QATW - good to see.

I'm sure if Solly/Fox get things happening and J class appears again your Banana chances improve significantly http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Wow! a leapard can change his spots!

I am sure that QATW has already written a letter to Solly/Fox asking specifically what types of fruit will be available in J and that he expects a double banana promotion.

Not a regular poster here, but just to show support, yes, flew BNE-SYD-BNE on fully flexible B class fare last week.

AN713 BNE-SYD 20A
Depart Sched 0600 Actual 0558
Arrive Sched 0830 Actual 0825

Usual friendly AN staff. BNE GW lounge was open, but had only about a dozen members/guests in it. Vending machines for soft drinks, coffee and snacks, but they did have a free coffee machine and proper cups (the same one that has been in BNE GW for ages) in use.

Load factor about 60%, of which about 75% of those were suit-and-tie (including me) business types - so the corporate sector is slowing coming back to AN.

Almost continuous supply of water, poured into disposable foam cups. No headphones, but entertainment program was running.

AN246 SYD-BNE
Depart: Sched 1620 Actual 1620
Arrive: Sched 1645 Actual 1640

GW SYD had around 20 or 25 people in it. Upstairs was closed off. Contrary to other reports, the UA*G in front of me was welcomed in with no questions.

Disappointing load factor: had only 16 pax on this flight. Same standards of service though - summed up as minimal, but extremely friendly. Much better than QF, which I've had to fly a few times in the last month or so.

Next flights are end of next week.

Well, work paid for the ticket, so that was fine. Wouldnt buy one myself, but thats for slefish FF reasons. But i was really impressed how kind the staff were. really well done.

I suppose any fruit would be ok, as long as its not kiwifruit.

QATW,

I think as well as a history book we should get you a cookbook!

A kiwifruit is a Chinese gooseberry and native of Sichuan provence in China. It was just kiwi marketing in the 1970s that turned it into what is now commonly referred to as a kiwifruit.

Of course, you will agree that when Australia is the banana republc, NZ is the kiwifruit republic http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

So even their national fruit is not their's really. Very uninspiring. A bit like their rugby team.
