An interesting article from the West Australian...

Well, as of 9AM today, 27,000 seats are booked.
Yesterday more internet tickets were booked in a day than what Ansett would normally book over the net in a week. Cheers, Justin |
Well the bookings from Perth seem to have gone crazy. I am going to ADL to attend a funeral on Wednesday and the best way involves me flying AN-II to MEL on Tuesday night. A QF agent even suggested it to me!
I had to pay full fare and now I notice that no flights till at least Friday have any seats at all left, let alone full fare. There doesn't seem to be any of the cheapies ($400 return) available for a while (I didn't see any at all). May Ansett get up stronger and better so that I can get seats on QF again http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
Well today Ansett II sales passed 50,000.
Cheers, Justin |

The bad thing is that bookings cannot be bought through travel agents' CRS which means lost sales there.
