Need advice on basic question
 

My parents, brother and I have an upcoming Acela trip EWR - PVD. My parents have done the booking (and will be paying); the three of them do not have Guest Rewards accounts, and I do. Am I best off obtaining the confirm# from my folks ahead of time and calling AMTRAK to add my info, adding it at the station before the tickets are physically printed, or sending the receipts in later for retroactive credit? Thanks!

Get the confirmation number now and call to have your AGR number added to the tickets, before they get printed. That's the safest and easiest way to ensure getting credit for your travel.

On a seperate note, there are no Acelas that stop at EWR. :confused:

Only Amtrak Regional trains stop at Newark Liberty Airport.

I used EWR, but we are actually going from Penn Station - Newark not the airport stop; my mom has referred to our itinerary as paid First Class.

It's too bad that NWK - PVD isn't one of the magical pairs, as you could have picked up some extra points that way.

But at least you'll still get some free points for the ticket. :)
