2003 Select Program
Received my 2003 Select pack. 2 upgrades were included, as well as my new membership card.
Instead of 5 lounge access passes, I was given a complimentary membership. My Select membership card has "ClubAcela" stamped on it. The letter that came with the pack seemed to indicate that the Club membership was for the 'top' travellers. I racked up 24,000 points last year on weekly PHL-NYP roundtrips, where points were based on ticket value as opposed to the 500 points one gets for DC-NY or NY-BOS trips. |

I think it is 500pnts, regardless of tkt vakue for Acela Express Business Class, and 750 for First Class Acela Express regardless of tkt class. Congrats. And thanks for the update. [This message has been edited by STAM4NICK (edited 02-22-2003).] |
Definitely not the case. You get 500 points for standard Acela Express(i.e. Business), and 750 points for Acela First on specific city pairs. All my PHL-NYP trips have only given me 2x the dollars spent, plus the 25% Select bonus.
From the Terms & Conditions: *The qualifying city pairs are: Boston - Stamford, Boston - New York, Boston - Newark, Boston - New Carrollton, Boston - Washington, Route 128 - Stamford, Route 128 - New York, Route 128 - Newark, Route 128 - Washington, Route 128 - New Carrollton, Stamford - New Carrollton, Stamford - Washington, New York - New Carrollton, New York - Washington, Newark - New Carrollton, Newark - Washington. |
