Account login - login code never arrives
 
I have a problem logging in to my account in that I get a screen asking for a code which has been sent to my email.
It never arrives and is not in SPAM. Any suggestions gratefully received.

When I try to login, I’m presented with two options to receive the code: via text, or via email.

If I select text message, I never get it (and I’ve checked that my phone number is correct).

If I choose email, I get it right away (email is titled “Your Code”).

Is there an option for you to choose an alternate communication method like text? That’s my only suggestion.

I am afraid I do not get a choice!

I have the same issue and can never get the text mesage, even though I'll get the code nearly instantly by email. I use Google Voice, so Amtrak isn't the only one that I'll sometimes have trouble with.

Have you tried calling Amtrak to see if there is an email on your profile or if you are able to add one? I can only imagine how frustrating this must be.

Amtrak does not work with Google Voice numbers. As a result, I never input a phone number, forcing the system to use email.

Makes sense, though I still get occasional phone calls from "Julie" telling me about upcoming train delays and reroutes.
