700 points expiring: any options??
 

I'm an Amtrak novice. I have 700 points due to expire in 30 days. This amount seems too small to redeem or transfer in any way, as far as I can see. Do I have any options at all other than buying up?

You might be able to subscribe to a magazine...

IIRC, the cheapest redemption is 800 points, which is worth about $20, give or take, so definitely worth not letting the points expire. IIRC Amtrak did change their expiration policy so that any activity resets the clock (previously, it had to be paid travel to reset it), so Seat 2A's suggestion would work (if that's a thing with AGR--not sure it is; most airlines do have magazine partnerships, but I'm not aware of any with AGR).
