Rocketmiles AMTRAK code showing 0 results when code is used
I have a roadtrip through AZ, NM, and TX coming up and I'm trying to book a hotel in at least one town along the way using the Rocketmiles 3000 point deal.
If I search using the link or the AMTRAK code in the app it gives me zero results in at least two of the towns I've searched. BUT, if I do the exact same search, not using the referral link or code I get results. It's almost as if it's zeroing out results when I use the code in some towns. Granted I'm searching for Holbrook AZ and Alamogordo NM, but I get at least 1 and 2 results respectively, until I try to use the code. Anyone else run into this problem? I sent a message on to Rocketmiles and AGR so I'll see what they tell me. The terms make no mention of only applying in certain areas or for certain hotels. |
Yes, I have seen the Amtrak code on a prospective Rocketmiles booking trim the list of offered hotels. Trying to generalize from just a few observations it seems to drop the lowest-priced properties. Maybe there's nothing but 1 or 2* properties (not participating in buying AGR points) available in the localities you're checking.

Rocketmiles replied saying not all hotels participate, which nowhere in the terms does it say that any hotels would be excluded. In the end this is only a 2k point bonus over the standard.
