New fields online when canceling ticket?

I canceled a couple of tickets today and noticed the following lines displayed between the "Purchase Total" and "Refund Total" lines:

Non-Refundable Fee-$0.00
Cancellation Fee-$0.00
Haven't noticed these before (although I can't say I have canceled a lot of tickets). Something new in preparation for e-ticketing?

I'm not going to swear to it, but I think that those items have been around for at least a year now, maybe even longer.

This is not to suggest that they aren't there for eTicketing.

This was from an e-mail from a ticket I cancelled a little over two years ago:

Non-Refundable Delivery Fee: -$0.00
Cancellation Fees: -$0.00
I really hope they don't change their refund policy, it's a huge advantage over airlines.

That's reassuring. Still, a bit worried that the infrastructure for changing it might exist...

I have been seeing those fields for at least 2 years IIRC on cancelled trains/tickets. I make a lot of NEC reservations that I have to change/cancel. If there is the slightest chance I am going on a trip, I just book the train because I know I will get a full refund.

Although who knows what will be changing with e-ticketing.
