route 128 ?

:) the new site mentions travel between select cities. Several of those are listed as route 128.
What is the meaning of that designation?
Thanks.:)

Google is your friend. Route 128 is a Northeast Corridor station in Westwood, MA, south of Boston.

Or as many Amtrak crews call it, "The Route."

And just to REALLY confuse you... Route 128 is a kinda beltway highway route around Boston that joins part of I-95, part of I-93, and part of US-1. If you're going south on 128, you're on South I-95 until you get just past the Westwood Amtrak stop, then you're on North I-93 and North US-1. There's also a stretch of 128 North of Boston that is only called 128.

Okay, I'll stop. :p
