Does any Centurion give Hertz Presidents Circle Status?

Or Hertz 5*.
Which country and type of card?
Not Hertz #1 Gold, I realise many cards/programs offer this.
Many thanks.

From my experience Hertz never comps 5* or PC status. You must earn either of these levels by qualified rentals.

In Germany you just get the standard Hertz Gold club card - totally useless !

You could obtain 5* with 10 rental annually or Presiden't Circle with 30 rentals according to their brochure. Sixt on the other hand will give you their Platinum card if you are a top tier member of a frequent flyer program.

In the US, Centurion gives a Hertz status somewhat better than 5*.

The only status that would truly be valuable (and I doubt Hertz would offer this to every Tom-Dick-and-Harry Centurion holder) is #1 Club Platinum.

I find the upgrade from midsize to Premium and the four-hour grace period valuable. Never hear of Platinum.

Four-hour grace period

Good morning

I booked a car (NYC->BOS, 1 week) using my Centurion and got thereby the cheapest rate of all my available CDPs (1041723, Rate VG4N) but I haven't seen any information about this 4h grace period on my statements.

Do I get this grace period automatically or do I have to 'apply' for it when I fetch the car? I haven't found any info on the Amex or Hertz website about it.

Greetings
stefan

From the US Centurion site:

In the U.S.: a four-hour grace period for return at no charge before an extra day is applied
You will find it here but you will need to have logged on to follow the link.

You get the grace period automatically as long as your account is properly coded, regardless of whether or not you use the Centurion CDP. You can test it on the web site.

1. Surf to http://www.e-sixt.com/.
2. Select 'Sixt Cards' from the drop down menu at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on 'Platinum Card'. (or 'Gold Card', depending on your FFP status)
4. Apply for the card.

Hertz perks when using centurion?

Do you get luxury upgrades when booking a midsize?

I rented from Hertz using my Centurion card last week at SNA. I booked a luxury Lincoln LS and received a luxury Lincoln LS. No upgrade, except it was parked in the President's Circle, lol. Interesting too, is that the discount rate is the same for platinum and for centurion. It makes me question once again what we are paying the premium for?

When I book midsize I get luxury because that is the cent benefit. Along with the 4 hour grace period and thursday morning stating the weekend rate. Better upgrades and perks than avis presidents club, oh and much nicer cars.
