FHR Question: new Delano deposit policy ?
 

I was told today by the French CTS that in order to book a room at the Delano in Miami, the hotel was asking for a deposit equivalent to the total amount of the stay (and not a deposit equivalent to one night as it was previously the case).

Since I can't trust the French CTS, can anyone confirm this?

I've never booked the Delano via PTS, but they have usually charged a full deposit at booking (as has the other Morgans properites such as the Shore Club).

It's somewhat prevalent at any of the high end Miami Beach properties (have noticed this in Vegas too). I don't understand it because they are not actually prepaid rates. You can cancel and get a refund.

Well, I stayed at the Delano at least 3 times and was only charged one night at the time of booking. Same thing for the Mondrian in L.A. !

Well! I ended up calling Morgans Hotel reservations. They confirmed that the deposit was only equivalent to one night and not the full stay.

They also told me that the Clift in SF had FHR rates available when French CTS told me they did not have any singe room left with FHR rates at the same dates!

I was also told that the Delano had FHR rates for pool-side bungalows when French CTS told me the opposite!!

Amex Centurion truly is a joke in France!!
