French Laundry on Fine Dining Program!

Just got my platinum benefit guide. There are a bunch of new restaurants added in the fine dining program. French Laundry in Yountville is one of them. I wonder is the waitlist still 3 months long.:p

You mean the French Laundry? The reservation policy is 2 months in advance. It's not that hard to obtain actually - either by redialing the number at 10am or booking through Opentable at midnight.

Well I read that Thomas Keller, the chef, is now mostly in New York, taking care of his restaurant at Columbus Circle, Per Se....

Well, this is good news. :)

French Laundry used to be part of the FD program years ago; glad to see that they are back.

Does this mean that the French Laundry is no longer popular?

Speaking of F.L, if you are ever in Phoenix try Binkleys restaurant in Cave Creek.

Chef Kevin Binkley worked under Keller at FL and he has opened his own restaurant.

One of my absolute favorites!

There's a bistro in one of the Vegas mega-casino's where the FL guys run it at a distance.

Best croque-monsuier I've had outside of Paris, and frittes to die for.

Yes, the original Bouchon is in Napa, and they also have one in Vegas. The little bakery next to restaurant (Napa) has the best mini-chocolate muffins. Many of the Napa restaurants are on FD now, but you might rather reserve a table using opentable instead to earn points ;)

Actually, the best way to get a table at French laundry is waitlist a couple of days before. There is always people cancel.

If you're up in Cave Creek, and enjoy Mexican food, you might also check out El Encanto. Nice setting, great food, and killer margaritas.

Make sure to call for reservations a couple of weeks in advance. He books up quickly.
