NEW Double Points for Purchases Promotion - 11/1-11/30

Got a postcard in the mail the other day:

Earn double points on retail purchases from November 1-30, 2004. Enroll at

http://www.americanexpress.com/retailreward.

Small print:
Qualifying charges include all eligible retail, furniture, home goods, and warehouse club purchases posted between November 1 and November 30, 2004. This offer represents one additional bonus point when used in conjunction with other bonus point offers. Cardmembers who normally earn double points for purchases at stand-alone supermarkets, drugstores, the USPS, and for wireless phone bills will earn triple points for purchases in these categories between November 1 and November 30, 2004. Bonus points will be credited to your Membership Rewards account with 12 -14 weeks after charges appear on billing statement. Maximum amount of reward per transaction is 3,000 bopnus points, maximum reward per account not to exceed 10,000 bonus points. Only solicited Cardmembers are eligible for this offer. Bonus ID 5150.

Happy shopping!

Could not sign up with my Centurion card. Called Customer Service and it seems (to both her shock and mine) that it is either targeted or may not apply to the Centurion card. She's checking higher up and will get back to me.

Hard to believe we'd pay so much for the card and be excluded from the promotions!

My postcard said http://www.americanexpress.com/retailbonus rather than http://www.americanexpress.com/retailreward . It seems to be pretty much the same thing, though.

Thanks, worked for me as well. Wonder if they will decide to reject anyone after-the-fact.
