The spend was below either amount and also within remaining 2023 credit, so my only immediate indication is the 2024 meter.

Aspire.. Two $200 Resort Credits.. two reservations as one?

I am looking at this sweet resort.. could I get the $200 credit on June 30th then have a different reservation on July 1st and get another $200 credit? Bam, $400 in one fell swoop.. does it work that way?

Last year, someone posted that they routinely booked resorts, waited for the credit to post, and canceled the reservation. This was done over several years and the resort credits were not clawed back. I'm not going to debate the ethics, but only wanted to provide a data point to help answer your question. Your situation is different, in that you are still planning to stay at the resort. If you canceled your reservation and rebooked, I don't think Amex would claw it back.

However, it HAS happened.

If you have time, read this thread from about post #926 to post #974

Regardless, good luck. I hope it works out for you.

In my experience most hotels will not charge guests until checkout is complete, with the exception of some Las Vegas resorts that charge a 1-night deposit, so you could make 2 separate reservations, but, unless the hotel is actually going to charge you on June 30, in the middle of your stay, it won't work.

You're better off making one reservation and then contacting the hotel, by email/phone to make an advanced prepayment on that reservation. Good Luck.

Trop Las Vegas booked 1/1, posted 1/2, meter moved for deposit amount on 1/11. Will expect the credit tomorrow. May not get lucky to get it double credited like my airline credit though

Having trouble using my Aspire Resort Credit

I booked a res at a Hilton resort with points, expecting to use my $200 Aspire resort credit over 2 dinners.
As it turns out, only 1 of them has ability to charge the room for the dinner. I didn't realize that until I called them to confirm reservation. Apparently 1 of the restaurants is new and didn't completely setup their billing system yet.
I was budgeting $100 per dinner. So now I'm at risk of $100 just going to waste. Not a disaster, but not ideal.

My first instinct was to call hotel to see if they sell Hilton gift card for my remaining $100. But they said they don't.

So what now? Any advice?

I'm thinking to cancel 1 of the nights that was booked with points, and book with my Aspire instead. That way I could at least get full use of my $200, and get my points refunded for a future date.

Could you visit the restaurant 2 nights in a row instead of going to the one that can't bill charges to your room?

I could but my wife doesn't want to eat at the same place. And we're not a fan of their massage either.

Could you make a reservation at some resort for the second half of the year and use your remaining credit to prepay for your new stay?

Heading to Vegas in March but won't be staying at any Hiltons. If we eat at one of the restaurants at Resort World will this trigger the credit? Spa?

I am 99.999999999% positive that you must charge your card to a folio at a resort to trigger the credit. Using it at a restaurant or spa won't trigger unless it's billed to your folio.

I haven't heard of anyone successfully receiving the resort credit without a stay.
