Platinum personal card, $550 renewal just posted. Used the chat to ask for retentions.
Previously received a retention offer in 2019.
Offered 40k MR points for $3k spend in 3 months. Asked if there were any other options to offset the annual fee.
Offered $150 statement credit with no spend
After declining both offers I asked to cancel the card.
Was then presented with a 3rd offer - $400 statement credit after $3k spend in 3 months.
Declined this also and cancelled the card (not using the benefits as my SO just signed up with a personal platinum card, along with the 100k MR bonus)

Amex Gold Card. My spending was really down the past year. Kept using other cards for grocery spend, since I was making 5 to 6 miles per dollar. I usually get 1 to 1.5 cents value from MR points, so the airlines miles more valuable to me. Therefore, I wasn't expecting the 30K points others are receiving. Instead they offered to cover my AF by taking 25K points from my MR account. It appears that the bonus miles for grocery spend is ending with other cards Sept. 30. So, I accepted. The 4X on grocery spend makes the card worth it to me when combined with Uber and Dining credits.

Gold - Second year exclusively on grocery & restaurant, fee will hit early Nov, spend $1,500 and get $100 statement credit or 15k Membership Rewards on spending $2000 in 3 months, took the points
Plat - 5 year anniversary this Nov and got two retention offers so far ( 30K points no spend first and 20K points 2K spend two years ago, also got appreciation gift twice first $75 Napa Valley wine voucher and two years ago $250 Tiffany gift voucher), this year either $150 credit no spend or 40K points 3K spending in 3 months, took the points obviously.
I’m very happy with Amex whose cards really fits my life style, even without those offers I still plan to keep both Gold and Plat. Green card is another story as I really want to use the LoungeBuddy $100 credit to try HKG’s Plaza Premium First lounge but due to COVID-19 I have never used this benefit.
This is my very first year to call before AF hits as I have quite a few major purchases going on and I don't want to waste them.

I was offered a $150 statement credit and it showed up a couple days later.
I decided to cancel the card anyway by way of letter and told them to keep the $150 credit (right thing to do). They should get the letter tomorrow.

Chatted with frontline rep and they were able to see the previous chat with Membership Consulting and confirm the offer was there and activated correctly on 8/27. Allegedly they can see the points are "pending" but haven't posted yet. Very strange. It took a lot of back and forth for them to finally admit "the points normally appear within a few days" as has been my experience with all my other Amex cards. Unsurprisingly, was told they couldn't do anything until 8-12 weeks after 8/27.
