Centurion Lounge coming to DCA (per twitter)
Announcement coming soon:
-new Centurion Lounge in DCA, expected to open some time in 2022
DCA makes a lot of sense strategically, my personal guess is it might be landside in the B/C area?

The current terminal construction project will address some of the issues at least for B and C. I'm not sure if it will allow for screening free transit to A.

Frankly not sure where they will find the additional space for SEA expansion, but will certainly be helpful given the crowding nowadays

For that reason and (primarily) others reasons, I foresee this DCA lounge being landside -- sort of like at LGA. I doubt Amex is willing and able to operate an airside transit shuttle at DCA. Even MWAA and DCA-serving airilnes haven't been all that eager to have a bunch of airside shuttle vans in operation, and that's even as they could borrow from the playbook of ARN, where there is an on-call airside shuttle bus going among all its terminals.
Capitol One's lounge at IAD is to be airside. But that's IAD, with IAD having a lot more space airside that can be cheaply reconfigured to rent out than is the case for DCA.

Wow, can't wait. I generally try to time it out at DCA so I can arrive curbside <10 minutes to boarding and then minimize waiting at the gate but with the recent construction it's been tougher. A Centurion lounge will be awesome.

Awesome news for DCA regulars.
I suspect they might take the space from one of the Admirals Clubs when AA move into their new digs in the renovation.
I don't see a problem with it not being accessible from A, that terminal caters primarily to WN and F9, which (a) aren't a partner of Amex for cobrands and (b) typically don't carry the type of consumer that holds a Platinum.

Besides the one poster above, has anyone else seen rumors on the DCA location? For the poster above, curious how you know before I get my hopes up.

Both the SEA expansion and SFO expansions have already been publicly announced, SEA in June 2020 and SFO in Nov 2020. So call me a bit of a skeptic on the OP re DCA unless there's some backup. Or maybe OP has a better crystal ball than I do.

Only flyers of A tenants Southwest, Frontier, and Air Canada will have to clear security twice if they want to visit a lounge in B/C.

All of B/C will soon be airside with the ongoing "Project Journey" renovations at DCA. (The tradeoff is that National Hall will now require ticketed access, no longer accessible to the public.) This should be complete before 2022.

Yes-once the project is complete. Hopefully the rumor posted earlier also means a Centurion Lounge is also coming.

Centurion Lounge coming to DCA in 2022. (per twitter)
Twitter poster Rob Pegoraro is reporting that a CL is coming to DCA and will be on the south side of the newly enclosed secure area. This will be excellent news for DCA!
